Hello Cyclones families, 

Spring is coming and summer swim is just around the corner. Normally, Faircrest Cyclones would be opening registration at this time of the year. For the past five years, our swim team has operated as a subcommittee of the CFCA HOA board. This is the HOA that governs all the common areas, the clubhouse, the tennis courts, and the pool. This current board has voted to remove the swim team as a subcommittee of the board. The swim team has two members on the HOA board, but they have been outvoted. This means that if Faircrest Cyclones is to continue, we must become an independent entity. The HOA's insurance would no longer cover the team and the team would have to seek outside coverage. We would also have to negotiate a contract with our own HOA for rental of our own community pool, for which we, as residents, already pay a monthly fee that continues to increase. This decision was made by the HOA board with no consideration of time and resources needed to make these changes and the impact it would have on the 2025 swim season. In short, there is insufficient time to create this new entity in time for this summer.
